Mary Karen Metallic

At the Maria Hospital of Baie-des-Chaleurs, on the 15th of December 2020 at 8:07 am Quebec, Ms Mary Karen Metallic passed away at the age of 63 after a short battle of lung cancer. She was the daugther of the late Elizabeth Mary Vicaire and the late Howard Metallic.

Ms  Metallic of Listuguj Mi’gmac First Nation leaves behind   her 5 children; Lisa Metallic, Sheldon Metallic, Raven Metallic (Peter Martin) Denver Martin, Jacob Martin (Sarah), her 7 Grandchildren; Savannah Metallic, Jasmine Metallic, Cameron Metallic, Dylan Metallic, Joleigh Martin, Shirleigh Martin and Joe Robert Martin.

She will also be greatly missed by her brother Carl Metallic, her sisters RoseAnn Martin, Christine Metallic, Dolly Barnaby (Moe), Anita Metallic, Donna Metallic (Claude) and Nicole Metallic-Ward (Dwayne).

She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Santerre & fils Funeral Home of St-Alexis, Quebec.

A special heartfelt thank you to our Traditional Elders; Sister Rose, Elder Earl Labillois, and to our fire keepers for the sacred fire that has been lit for 4 days.

As they will be conducting a Mi’gmaq Traditional Ceremony  on Saturday December 19 2020 at 2pm Qc at the Listuguj Migmaq Development Center (Bingo Hall). We have a limit of 50 people and need to follow all Covid-19 safety precautions.  The cermony will be live on FB.
