Auley Eustan Craswell
Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Wednesday October 21st, 2026. Born in Mann’s Mountain on November 23rd, 1946, Auley was a son of the late Emerson and Joyce Craswell.
From a very young age Auley went to work and continued to do so for many years. He was a transport driver for 35 years, a fishing guide at numerous fishing camps along the Restigouche River and as a fish warden. He was forever doing small jobs around home and always eager to help others. He loved his lawn mower, his four-wheeler and used them all at every occasion.
Besides his wife Barbara of 57 years, he leaves his two daughters Lisa Craswell, Becky (Marcus) Blesi, grandchildren Kyle (Jenn) Nicolle, Kensie Blesi, Gaven Blesi and his “by heart” grandchildren Ayden, Joe and Ryenn.
Predeceased by his parents and sisters, Linda, Phyllis, Joan, and Gwen, brothers Peter, Bobby, Lyman and Tommy.
As a personal request by Auley, there will be no funeral service but a “celebration of life” to be held at the Flatlands cemetery on Wednesday October 28th at 3:30 PM.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Santerre & fils Funeral Home of St-Alexis-de-Matapédia, Quebec.
The direction and personnel of Santerre & fils Funeral home offer their sincere sympathies to the family.
