In Gesgapegiag on December 5th, 2022 , Ms Prescilla Larocque passed away at the age of 59. She was born on December 31st 1962. She was the daughter of the late Maggie Condo and the late Stanley Larocque.
Prescilla, of Gesgapegiag Mi’gmac First Nation, was a Mother to 4 beautiful and strong willed boys whom she raised alone. She was a confident and intelligent woman with a heart that would rival any mountain on this earth. Her soul could take all the pain this world could throw at her and still have enough to give you everything you needed. She lit up any room that she walked into. Her beautiful and charismatic smile said it all. She is survived by her 4 sons, Nakoa, Keith, David, and John Percy and her 6 beautiful Grand Children.
Visitation will be held at Santerre et fils Funeral Home in Maria located at 24, des Geais street, on Saturday December 10th and Sunday December 11th 2022, from 9:00 – 11:00 am, 1:00 – 3:00 pm and from 7:00 – 9:00pm.
The funeral for the late Ms Prescilla Larocque will be held at Gesgapegiag Church on December 15th 2022, at 2:00pm.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Santerre & fils Funeral Home of Maria, Quebec.

To all of her loved ones, she is now a spirit angel with all of you. She was very loving funny and devoted. It was a pleasure to have known her and she will always be remembered.

First of all I would like to send my deepest condolences to the Larocque family on the loss of one spunky kind loving Fiesty Migmaq Warrior.
I had the honor of working with her in the courts and she was always so kind and on her last trip with us to court Nov 16 2022 she gave the Judge and her new lawyer both sweet grass. She was that kind soul. Driving my clients to court is where we share, talk and laugh. I will miss her. We will miss her keeping us in line especially the court system.
I’m deeply saddened by her passing but know she’s in a beautiful place of eternal peace.
She always cheered for me when I played ball in Mala too. She was a great loud fun fan.
